Hydroxyethylmethylcellulose (HEMC) is a derivative of methylcellulose, a non-ionic cellulose ether made from natural renewable polymers such as cotton or wood pulp. It is an odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white powder that dissolves in cold water to form a clear viscous solution. When used as a construction and daily chemical additive, it is often used in tile adhesives, putty, external wall insulation and washing daily chemical products. Features of HEMCs

1. Soluble in water and some organic solvents (WATER-SOLUBLE)

2. Non-ionic (NON-IONIC)

3. SURFACE ACTIVITY

Due to the active function of the aqueous solution, it can be used as a colloidal protective agent, emulsifier and dispersant

4. THERMAL GELS

When the product aqueous solution is heated to a certain temperature, it becomes opaque and the gel forms a precipitate. However, when it is continuously cooled, it returns to the original solution state. The temperature at which this gelation and precipitation occurs mainly depends on their lubricants and suspending agents. Protective colloid. Emulsifier, etc.
